The Bus Stop Chronicles, vol. 1 pt. 1

I ride the bus to work. The price of parking in downtown Seattle is ridiculous, so I opt for the bus. One of my co-worker's husband's is a bus driver and he says that my bus route is the 2nd to least favorite among bus drivers because of all the drama and weirdos that hop aboard. This doesn't make me feel too great, but as long as I ride during the normal weekday rush hour times with all the other "8 to 5ers", I'm okay. I have seen my fair share of drama at the bus stops and on the bus. Fist fights, loud arguments, people being arrestted, bus accidents, bus tires popping, and even witnessed a girl getting hit by a car to name a few. This morning on the same block as my stop, a lady with too much makeup and too short a skirt was pulled over by the police. (there is a sign on my bus stop corner that says something about prostitution being a neighborhood watch issue. )

I took a bus once from high school to home. My friends thought that it would be cool. A elderly woman with pinkish colored hair sat next to me. She was very strange, and she convinced me to never ride the bus again.

I have never been on the public bus. Maybe I will try it this weekend.
