Black Friday

Plan A for yesterday was to wake up at 3:30a.m., drive to Best Buy and get in line for the store opening at 5 a.m. The big purchase item was a bluetooth headset for Tim. For the past few years on Black Friday, we have struck out with finding the items we want at electronic stores. So this year, I wasn't getting my hopes up for finding any of the things we wanted.

3:30 a.m. rolled around and our alarm went off, but we didn't wake up. Next thing we know it's 5 a.m. and we're still in bed. So we went with Plan B. We finally got up and trecked over to Best Buy. We arrived at 5:20 a.m., 20 minutes after the store had opened. Empty Starbucks cups and newspaper ads were littered all over the sidewalk where people had been waiting. Inside the store packed with shoppers hurrying to find all the great deals! We made our way over to the bluetooth headsets and low and behold there was a few left! Score one for us! Our Black Friday electronic strike out has ended!

We checked out and headed to Fred Meyers for the 1/2 off sock sale! The highlight of going to Fred Meyer on Black Friday is the free juice (or coffee for those coffee drinkers) and doughnut holes! Tim and I were home by 6:20 a.m. I immediately went back to bed and fell asleep for another 4 hours! What a great morning!

For those of you who braved the stores yesterday, I hope your shopping was a success!
