Strawberries

Yesterday we were planning to go pick strawberries at Harvold Berry Farm with my sister-in-law and one of her daughters. Little did we know that strawberry picking season is over! So instead of picking, we ended up at the Strawberry Festival in Bellevue. We didn't buy any strawberries, but we had a good time walking around and looking at all the vendors. Kayla especially liked the petting the dogs at the pet adoption agency. The second weekend of July marks the beginning of raspberry picking season, so we have it marked on our calendars! We won't be making strawberry jam this year, but we'll be making plenty of raspberry jam!
