Locks of Love

Dear Locks of Love,

Today I will be mailing you four 10" ponytails that were chopped from my head yesterday! My hair is now the shortest it has ever been, and I'm getting used to it! I hope you are able to use my chopped hair to make a hair piece for some lucky kid! Who wouldn't want to be a strawberry blonde?

Regards,
K

P.S. I hope to post a picture soon!

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Tim and I went to the Pumpkin Patch in Woodinville to select our great pumpkins for this year's carving! Here's a few of the fun photos...

All the great pumpkins

Tim's chosen pumpkin

Today our pumpkins will become jack-o-lanterns!

Happy Halloween!

Into the Wild

Last night we went to see Into the Wild. Set in the early '90s, it's based on a true story of Chirstopher McCandless, a college graduate in Atlanta who decides to leave home, gives up all he has, and travels the open road. His goal is to make it to Alaska...the greatest adventure, which he finally does, and lives out of an abandoned bus for four months. Many people in the Pacific NW probably knew of Chris's story and how it ends however, I pretty much knew nothing before I saw the movie. I wasn't quite as prepared for the ending like many of the other people in the theater. Bring kleenex. Good message, good soundtrack, overall good movie.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

My Mom and Uncle Jeff 1974
My mom is 22 years old in this photo. My cousin thinks I look just like her. I'm taking that as a compliment!

Charlotte

Currently I have an unwelcomed guest in my front entry way. For the past week, a spider has made it's home in the upper left corner of the ceiling. It is too high for me to reach, so I haven't done anything about it. (And Tim's out of town, but I'm hoping he'll kill it when he gets back!) The spiders out in WA are scarier than any of the spiders I ever saw in MN (well, minus the tarantulas we saw at the zoo...). I would love it if the spider in my front entry way wasn't there, but since I can't do much about it right now, I have decided to name it. I call the spider Charlotte. That way it doesn't scare me and I can walk by without getting the heebee jeebies. And in the end....Charlotte does die.

Tear Jerker

Grab a Kleenex, and then click here....99 Balloons.

Muppet Babies

I have always been a huge Muppets fan! When I was little, I loved watching Muppet Babies. One of the episodes that I remember the most is when Scooter was sick, Nanny had him drink orange juice and rest in his crib. Then it shows the juice going down Scooters throat, into his stomach, and battling the virus bug in his body! I was sick last week with a horrible cold. Sometimes when I am sick, for some odd reason, I think of this episode and think that I should drink more orange juice.

Wii

This weekend I was introduced to the Wii.....and now I really would like to get one! My bowling score was the best I ever had!

MN part 2

A few more fun trip photos....
Hmmm...be careful bringing this hat back to Seattle...Boeing country!

Croquet anyone?

Tim, Brooke and Me

Rewind....MN Trip!

Minnesota...home sweet home....Tim and I flew to MN over Labor Day weekend to spend time with family. Here are some of the highlights!
Disclaimer...It was a Friday and the Huskers weren't playing football until Saturday. The Huskies were playing on Friday, so I thought I'd be a good wife and show a little school spirit for my husband!

Chris & Me!
This was my first time hanging out at Seven Corners...Sgt. Peppercorn's bar...lots of fun!

Tim, me, Grandma and Grandpa
My grandparents live in Florida, so I don't get to see them very often. It was nice to spend 5 days with them!

The fam!

We celebrated Tim's 33rd a week early! Thank goodness we didn't actually put 33 candles on the "cake" aka banana creme pie!

Jersey Boys

Jersey Boys is coming to Seattle! Our local news station is doing a daily contest with the grand prize being tickets to the show! The news station asks a multiple choice question about the Jersey Boys and contestants are asked to enter their guess on the news website. Yesterday was the first day that I entered. Here's today's question:

Thursday, October 4th
Who wrote Jersey Boys?*
a. Bob Gaudio & Frankie Valli
b. Tommy DeVito & Joe Pesci
c. John Kander & Fred Ebb
d. Marshall Brickman & Rick EliceJohn Kander & Fred Ebb

I don't know the answer the yet, but I plan to find out soon! Each day the station announces the winner and puts their name on tv. I hope to see my name soon!

Back in the Saddle

Hello again! Sorry I've been out of commission for awhile. The Geek Squad has been working to fix this computer for the past month. It's been a bit frustrating, but we finally have everything fixed! I can't blog from work anymore so I've had to wait for this computer to come back! I'll write more soon!
